A Life Extraordinary

We get one life, so lets live!

About Me

Well hello there and welcome to my little corner of the internet!  My name is Amanda and I’m so happy you’re here.  I’ve been blogging off and on now for about 17 years (anyone remember Xanga?) and covered many different life changes and interests.  My last foray into blogging ended at the very beginning of the pandemic because at the end of the day I just didn’t have anything mentally left to give.

So that brings me to now.  During a recent trip to Europe I had the awesome pleasure to meet many new people and when I told them a little more about this life I’m currently living I was always asked if I had a blog/youtube/tiktok so they could follow along.  Since I have absolutely no idea how to make my own Tik Tok (maybe this is a good time to learn?) I thought I’d come  back here to my favorite corner of the internet to start sharing this wild wacking life of mine again.

And here we go!  I’m leaving the archives of all my many adventures/ventures prior to 2020 up because it reflects so many beautiful times and memories but from here on out this is what you’ll find here…

Life/Work Life:  I currently work as a flight Paramedic based out of Utqiagvik (Barrow), Alaska.  The most northern town in the US.  It’s a wild and unique location that fascinates me.

Travel:  I work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and try to travel as much as I can in my off time.  Usually budget minded travel because…

Budgeting/Money Saving/Paying off Debt:  I’ve been working on paying off ALL of my debt since early 2019.  If I’m smart I should be able to finish this year (2022), we’ll see!

  2. Hey! My name is Joshlynn! I stumbled across your blog looking up information on KPC And it’s pretty amazing!! You have been so many places. I am working on transferring to KPC for the fall semester from a school in Southwest Louisiana. Could you give me any tips on the drive and what to bring and what not to bring? Have a great day!

    Thanks,
    Joshlynn Phillips
